Awesome stories.  I've started going to the CrossFit Gym here in town along with changing my diet.  Biggest things I've done that have helped alot are quit drinking alcohol and soda (I'll still have one every once in a while but I went from Oct to Feb 13 only having two beers).

I've also quite going back for seconds and cut my original portion sizes down too and when I go to dinner I make wiser choices and immediatly ask for a "to-go" box and split my meal in half.

Nice work Chris! I'm excited to see your progress at the next rally! You can do it if you put your mind to it. I'm so proud of you!

The wife and I have been going to the gym off and on for just over a year. We haven't really been serious about it until about 4 months ago. We started going 3 times a week. We took a picture just after we started (about 3 months ago) and took a picture last night to compare/see the difference.

The wife has lost almost a full inch on her waste/belly. I think she's down officially 6lbs (but gained a few in muscle as well)

I never measured but based on my pants I've lost maybe 1/2 inch on the waste and I'm up 10 lbs from when I started.

Lydia's changes weren't to much based on the pictures but you can tell that she's lost quite a bit off her stomach.

My changes were pretty noticable. The most noted areas I saw actual changes was my pecs. My arms in genearal (bi,tri, and forearms) and the biggest change was in my shoulders. at a rest with the first pic. my arms sort of slouched away from my neck sort of liken upside down V. if my neck were the point and my shoulders were the /  \ part. Wasn't much to them. Now they are a lot more defined.

Lydia saw the pics before me, I was making dinner and she said WOW... You looked like a nerd before.

I've still got a ways to go. But. Getting there. and Feeling a whole lot better in the process as well. :)

We've never really watched what we've been eating. The gym was more to, get a bit more fit, and just be able to work off what we were eating to stay more even.

Now we're both starting to watch what we eat/buy. We've cut back on the ammount of junk food that enters the house. We always have fresh carrots/Cauliflower/Broccoli in the apt. As well as fruit. I've cut back on my soda intake from 3ish cans a day to 1 (at lunch). Primarily drink water.  (obviously there's exceptions.. like I've had friends over to play xbox and we'll drink pop. But I'm trying to be more consious about the decisions I'm making now.

That's my story thus far. :)

Randy, the whole getting fit is multiple battles all in itself. Dieting and watching what you eat is a huge battle. Once you kinda get into a routine of eating healthy or healthier it becomes simple. I literally had to make a huge bet with a friend one day to help me commit to the dieting. The basic bet was whoever lost more weight in 6 weeks and it was a $500 bet. I used the bet to goat myself into watching what I ate and eating better, it wasn't about me it was also about my friend too. Once I started getting into the habit of eating well, I decided I needed to workout, but that was a battle too. James sent me a message one day and asked if I needed a workout partner, I didn't even hesitate. James and I have been hitting the gym since November 16th. We hit it hard, started out going 3 times a week...m/w/f. I think I might have missed one day and James has only missed 2 that I can think of. Last month I started going m/t/w/th/f and James has hit me up the last 3 Sundays as well. I can't imagine life without going to the gym at this point.

Overall I eat better, feel healthier, look healthier, I feel like there is a new physical me. I have long term goals such as <10% Bodyfat, size 32 jeans (I'm a 34 btw, was a 40), and a "six pack".
