Was talking to a buddy tonite about working out and stuff. It got me to thinking of who on here goes to the gym. So if your hitting the gym share your stories, workout routines, diets, goals, pros, cons, and just whatever related you can think of.

Anyhow I'm a fatkid and I was getting really sick of being so damn fat. So a few months ago I started eating healthier and changing my habits. I also started hit'n up the gym mid November of last year. My original goal was to go from 250lbs to 210lbs. I hit the goal about 3 weeks ago or so. Right now I'm a whop'n 208lb, so I've got new goals now. I've been hitting the gym 3 times a week up until last week when I added 2 more days to the routine. My new goal is to have a 6 pack by Nov 16th of this year, that would be the anniversary date of the day I joined the gym. I don't really have any weight goals anymore because of the muscle weight that I have been putting on. Oh and I was a size 40 in jeans and right now I'm rocking size 36. I did try on some 34's yesterday, not quite there yet.

Oh yeah, by the way don't make me delete your post... you know what I mean.

Been back in the gym also. Started when someone posted up the beer gut pick. My goal is to hit 200-210lbs. And mainly just try and stay fit for myself and the kids, Do not want to get so fat that cannot run them down when they misbehave! Plus the lighter you are the faster you go!!!!! :tonto:

I was on a VERY strict diet/gym schedule for about 3 years. I had the help from alot of people (alot of my buddies are into body building) and a personal trainer. I kinda hit a plato. No matter how hard I pushed, no mater how I changed up my workout I could'nt gain anything. Then in the midst of this I broke my arm (arm wrestling) and was out for months and lost everything! Decided I'd rather have a life and just watch what I eat, than live at the gym everyother day!
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

Tonto......talking about a pic posted that made him start working out. I posted some pics of us riding at a OCCRA track and commenting on his beer belly. Guess it hurt his feelings... Muhahaha. Gotta love the motivation though.

Mike I am so proud of you!   Losing weight and keeping a routine like that can be very hard but it is doable. Keep up the good work!

As for my story... In 2007 I started dieting with failed attempts and in the beginning of 2008 I found a method that worked for me. I started using fiber to help cleanse my digestive system but didn't like it much and so I started serving myself what I would normally eat at meal time and scoop 1 spoonful off of my plate the first week and increased to 2 spoonfuls the next week adding 1 more spoonful every week. This was a huge success for me!

I had a hard time exercising because of my weight and a muscle condition that causes me pain, so this was very helpful until I could get to a weight where exercising was possible. When I started "exercising" it was with the help of my kids, I would bench press them and do leg lifts with them sitting on my legs and have them hold my feet while I did sit-ups. This was a great bonding experience with them, and I got in better shape.

When I started my diet I was 198lbs. and a size 18-20. Today I am 129lbs. and a size 8. I have dropped 69lbs.! I am so happy with my weight now and hope to start toning up soon.
