"Possibly" a new powerplant with 500+hp, and 500 lbs at a lower RPM....

why do they need that when they have the 8.4s  :grin_nod:

The Viper motors are bitchin and all, but they are based off a small block dodge, 5.9l/5.2l. There could be alot more had if Dodge made a 8.4l, with a DOHC, Hemi style.... I think that would pretty much lay the smack down on most production cars, now throw some turbos or centrifugal blowers and you got some crazy power. But that would probably not happen.

Kinda, but the Truck v10 is also the small block dodge. Same rod journal sizes, same mains, same valve angle..... then they did a common storke to a 4".... and now I think they are at a 4.125" to make 8.4l..... not sure though

It's possible they come out with a lighter weight model, mitusbishi, subuaru, and Dodge before has come out with low package, but bigger motor cars. I just would hate to throw out and tear apart the new challenger to make it light weight. Is that true that the Camaro is only coming out wih a v6 at first? If so that sucks, they're not as aggressive looking as the concept, but still nonetheless musclecar looking.

And for the amount I had sold that Orange challenger, about 1 year ago, I could buy another new SRT now, but just want to hang out until new aftermarket products have come out, and the prices have dropped...... and who knows possibly they will come out with a manual 6 speed 6.4 l?

'

Yes it's true. V6 is being released first.

It's not aggressive looking? I'd have to disagree with you on that.

Dodge really screwed up on the inside of the Challenger in my opinion. It was scheduled to have a retro look inside, but they totally backed up and went cheap. It's the same shell as the Charger with a built in timer for 0-60, 1/8 mile, and 1/4 mile in the information center. The seat in the SRT Challenger was HUGE. +1 for making it wide. It had a suede insert, not my favorite.

The new Camaro is like a blast from the past on the inside and outside.

wow, that's really depressing that they didn't go retro on the interior. If you're going to remake a classic world reknown car.. You best get it right the first time...

They should have done a little more, looks like Magnum interior.

Correct.

Magnum, Charger same shell. Too much plastic. I'm sure the Camaro will have just as much plastic.

All Dodges have pretty much the same interior. My truck looks very similar to that. The PT had unique interior they should have used something like that. Not that I'm a PT Cruiser fan, but at least it was retro.

Here are a few differences in the prototype and the production car.

This was the interior scheme on the 2008 Challenger prototype.

The pictures of these seats are the closest thing to the production car. The seat belt in the production car is not integrated like in the photos.
