I bought a fiber optic one and have road the trails with it and no problems, yet. They are bright and would buy a second one if we do a group buy since they all dont have to be the same.

i was always a fan of the fiber optic one too.  but I like being first and haven't seen one of these out there yet.  but, i'd go which ever way the group did.

I bought the stuff to make my own, just waiting for my LED's to get here from Hong Kong or wherever the hell they are coming from.

We are staying in the State Park campground.

Unfortunately if you ride hard they will go out! I have had all of them. Somehow another they will go out. The longest I've had mine is 2years. That's only riding at Sahara at night maybe 3 times a year and then riding really hard at night at the rally's. Firemen, what are you going to use for the cushioning in the tub to keep the led from getting beat to death?
