I need to discuss an incident from last night with you fine fellows.
THis year, I'm coaching two soccer teams. Both my boys in separate age groups., im a little worried about..but time will fly, whatevah...we had our coaches meeting last night, in which we choose practice times, team colors. and unbeknownst to me, we choose the players. It was weird, like a secret NFL draft or something.
so there we are. round table discussion, take turns choosing players. trying to be even. not all the kindergarten girls end up on one team
Guy next to me. on his round. he says "jeez, i could REALLY use some 2nd grade girls, are there any left, oh well first grade will do"
inside. Im on the floor gasping for air, because ive just had an infarction from holding back laughter and tears.
outside, im cool as a cucumber.... then I realize wait I KNOW this guy. partied with him(yrs ago), his wife and my wife classmates. So I say it... "you know THAT meeting isnt until later"
NOTHING. blank stare. minute or so goes by...he gets up. walks outside... comes back, smacks me on the shoulder. and says one word.
"F**ker"
