It's pretty jacked up. Record for Cedar river level (considered 100 year flood) in 1993: 22 ft expected to crest at 33 today.ouch Gonna take the FZ1 for a ride to check out the rivers near us. I am feeling quite fortunate to be on high ground. DO some searches on Cedar Rapids, Ia. 1.5 hrs north of me. Gettin it the worst.

You got it bad on your side of iowa. Over here the missouri is out of its banks. Heres a sit you can look up the water level for rivers. http://www.crh.noaa.gov/ahps2/index.php?wfo=oax

no you may not.

Bad thing is a lot of people don't have flood insurance. If the home isn't on the flood plain, it's not required. Very bad.

yeah, and cars too. Watch out for those cars for sale soon with "new interiors." I knew a guy who lived down there, with a levee a block away. Normal times, the water is 4-5 ft below his street level(below the levee). I asked him once "don't you worry" "nothin I can do about it if it does" Ummmm, yeah move! I just saw a picture of said neighborhood. "Glub, Glub, Glub"  I'm prayin for those that are still there.
