Well I am into tuners, and not many tuners I like are rwd.  The only cars I really like that are rwd are the BMW M3 and the 350z.

do the cummins get better MPG then the 8 cylinderrs?

I've heard a lot of complaints about the new 6.7 over the 5.9.  One of the complaints was horrible gas mileage.  I think the new emissions standards has something to do with it, though.  The 5.9 is bullet proof.  If you're pulling diesel is the only way to go.  Gassers can pull, but not very far. 

My dad bought an '08 Cummins a couple months back and he is getting the same mileage that I am and he is stock.

well im just lookin for a diesel with decent mielage and thats bullet proof. the cummins are cheap price wise and thats why i was looking at them. plus i hate the sound of 8 cylinder diesels.

Go get you a mid 90's 12 valve

I am into turbos and tuners. Thats one of the reasons I like the srt-4, plus by the time I drive they will be cheaper.

point? Its a 2.4 engine with a turbo, all for under about 15k used. Stock times of about 13 seconds and under in the quarter mile.

Try getting that with a factory turbo'd car made in 2000 and above with under 50k miles. Sti's/wrx's all go for 17k + used with 60k miles or so. Evos are just expensive as shit, and there arn't any other "tuner" cars that come to mine with a factory turbo.


Every person here can knock the car, but when you see the facts its obvious. If you like tuner cars, turbos, and want something that performs well for a cheap price, you wouldn't be saying that suck.




Not just you Socal, everyone who thinks its a p.o.s when if your interested in that type of car, its a great value.

ok, its a CHEAP fast"ish" car.  But its still a neon....can't escape those roots.  I would get a real tuner car.  Go jap if you want tuner.

The fact that it's still a Neon is what I like about it.  It's like beating somebody in a Beetle.  It has to sting a little to get beat by one.  I can't see myself getting one, but if I did I'd be tempted to make it look like a regular Neon.  Just to add insult to injury.

no there is really not. I could be saying the saying the same thing for huge trucks with huge tires and 10 inch lift with stacks. It doesn't appeal it me, and some people that I know. Its what we like, not maybe what you like.
