Hour Meters

I was thinking I could mount this hour/tachometer on my Flexx bars & ditch the bar pad unless it fit inside the bar pad for a sleek look.....any thoughts

Flexx bars offer 8"w  x  2.5"h of usable space between the cross bars
Hardline hourmeter/tachometer is 2.5" by 1 3/8" by .5" (info from a distributor)
The Cigma Cyclometer is 1.25" x 1" (with large dispaly numbers)

Should be room for both units between the cross bars
I'm not interested in removing the bar pad just mod'n it to accept the "new gauges"
A replacement bar pad from Fasst Co is $15 + s/h if a replacement is needed later for any reason.

Yea that would work great but still no tachmeter.  Only benefit of a tach is consistent shifts for drags. Hardline tach doesn't register above 8000 RPM's but that could work for a majority of draggers.  The LED shift lights guys are running seem expensive to me but they will get your attention vs a small LCD guage 

The sand guys could possibly benefit from having a tach to view the effects of gearing changes.
Hmm...  I realized I don't need a tach, I'm not a sand guy shooting the hill nor a hard core drag racer. I shift by feel like everyone else

If I was buying a quad and the hours were recorded via the Cigma, I might be a bit skeptical.

True.. I don't think it means anything for the "average user" but its good for scheduling maintenance.
