naw, it was all the owners.  Just throwing money around.  Some had sponsors but each team got a kick back from the race sponsors.

basically, its just a very rich mans chess.  They pay to have the best guys to win just for bragging rights.

They took care of us so I could never complain.  We ate well on their dime and stayed in killer hotels, they just picked up the tab.

When I got out of college I went "pro" and doing it full time.  I got to see the world and make a ton of coin but I was hooked bad on blow, seemed like a different city or country every week, no place to really call home and I could never really get married and have a family with that lifestyle.

Do you think you'd be able to manage Personal, Wife, and kid between racing?

Never, I was away from home or out of the country 80% of each month.  Its not a life that family would mix with.  I know I would be fine with my drug problem but I couldn't be away from my family that much, even making as much as I was.
