after getting rained on at the silver lake rally this past weekend. i'm thinking that instead of looking for a flatbed trailer that i will look for a enclosed trailer.

my question is what do you guys think i should go with? i would like to be able to haul at least 4 quads and maybe have enough room to put some lugage(sp) and stuff in there too.

i'll be towing it will my 03 dodge ram 1500 4X4 with the hemi. must be bumper pull too.

I would say 20' is as long as you want to go! My 2500 works pretty damn hard pullin a 28'er. I would do a 7 or 8 foot wide so you can turn them sideways.

I will tell you now that trailer are nice while your at your destination, otherwise they are a TOTAL PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!!!! Sucks pulling, Sucks gas, Sucks storing them, everyone wants to use it for free...........the list goes on!!!
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

i was thinking a 16 or 18 foot either haulmark or featherlite. i have a place to store it. and nobody but family would be using it for free. but i am worried about gas. and how well do they pull do you know? my boss has a 24 footer that he pulls with his 1/2 ton chevy and he says it pulls nice.

My 28' bumper pull toyhauler (toyhaulers are heavier than campers) all and all it should weigh a hair over 10,000 lbs. When I first got it I pulled it with a 05 f-150 with overload springs, chip and intake. If it were'nt for the hills it would have done just fine, but up a long rolling hill on the interstate it would go into second at 55MPH and go up to 4000+RPM! I logged a solid 6 MPG. Thats with a 40MPH head wind!

Shitty thing is I got rid of that truck for my new dodge diesel (hate it!) and I only get 9 MPG (with chip and intake) pulling the same load with zero wind! My Ford f-150 pulled stirghter too

If your under 6000 lbs you'll be fine.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

that's exactly what i have been looking at today online. stuff just like that one. i also like the added secuirty of a enclosed trailer. if people can see what you have it would be easier to decide if they want it or not.
