HEY` I`m a 700 raptor rider myself, my son had a 2006 predator red/black " nothing but problems " from rear seals, to rear hubs, constant break-downs. He spent most of the time pushing it than riding. I just got rid of it on AUG/ 19/08 and I offered a used "06" 660 and he went for a Z-400 instead. I was a big fan of polaris most of my riding life, around 20 years to be exact and I swore by them, from my scrambler 500 to my sons predator, even with all the problems. One day a buddy of mine bought a " 08 700 raptor " I went for a 15 minute test ride and guess what I did! RAPTOR 700, The 500 is in the garage, getting ready for snow plowing & the predator was put out of it`s misery!!!! 20 yrs on a polaris and bragged! 15 minutes on a raptor and I became speech-lesssss!!!!

I'll give you the same. I've replaced a ton of parts so far, but the Predator not one problem.

Have friendshere with polaris's, Honda's, Rappy's, YFZ's, KTM's, etc

All the 450's cost a bit more to keep going, the Honda is considered the worst for longevity & reliability.

The Rappy's have been the best, & the Polais/KTM's next.

The guy who has had to spend the most on his bike was a guy with a YFZ that managed to inhale sand thru the breather!!


Ride what suits you.
I'm 195cm & 118kg, the rappy is sweet for me, the preddy doesn't suit me, nor the outlaw 525 (but was impressed by it's quality of ride over rough trails) & the 450's are too small.
Love the KTM's but they feel very small too, but would love to have the money to build a hot 540!
