Sorry that I'm not really in the spirit of the Raptor guys and I feel kinda weird posting this in a Raptor forum but you people are the most helpful I've ever had and many of you have GENUINE experience instead of just spec knowledge. As you know I'm looking at buying a four wheeler and have been for some time now. I'm starting to get fed up with waiting and I just want SOMETHING to ride that I'm going to be happy with. I would like to know if anyone here has a good knowledge of the 2007 Polaris Predator or any Predator for that matter. Please don't give me fan boy answers. Here is the link to the one I'm looking to buy.

that preddy doesnt have the fox shocks, if u really want a preddy, get the one with fox shocks because they can be worked on like remote rezzy, compression adjs. triple rate, valving...........theres a review on the last dirtwheels on the preddys, most of the owners had a several things they didnt like

Calexiraptor thanks for the opinion. I would LOVE to get a Raptor but it just seems to me that they have a higher resale value and I just can't find a good deal on one. I want something that is in good condition. I am not the picky kind I would liek to have the adjustable shocks though because I am a VERY light person at 5'10 and 115 lbs. I would look into buying a 450 too but I need something with reverse. I would get a 400 but fear that I would grow out of it too quick.

i would not recomend the 500. the engines imo are crap. there is almost no aftermarket support because they were made for such a short time. the 525 is a much much  better engine. also part will get harder and harder to find because not 2 meny ppl have these imo.

I just want to get something. What is so bad about the Polaris Predator 500 engines?

it not that i would say there that bad but because they are a fugi engine and made for so few years if anythings breaks i bet parts would be more expencive and harder to get.

i think for 3200-3500 you could pick up a pretty decent yfz450 or trx450r

Dont listen to them. The will last as long as anything eles out there, as long as you maintain them and dont mod them stupidly. That is a DAMN good bike for the money!!!!

If you have anyother questions come to me for predator help, did alot or R&D on them.

If you mod it with the right parts you'll be alright, but if you toss on some cheap shitty parts thats what gets you in trouble. The cheap aftermarket CDI boxes advance the timing too much and makes starting hard on the oneway bearing. The factory CDI, vortex, and dyna CDI retard the timing at low RPM make it way easyer on the one ways.

Thats just one example.
