I'm trying to decide on a new front suspension set up with out breaking the bank too bad. What do I need to make a complete bolt on set up? A-arms, shocks, tie rods and what else? Do I need extended brake lines? Or should I just go with the ishock kit and quit trying to pinch pennies ??? :help:

pinching pennies on suspension is NOT what you want to do. save up and do it right.

I hear ya but, I was pretty much just trying to see if I could build something just as good as the ishock kit by buying separate components and save a few bucks. The stock shocks are terrible  ::)

I am in the same boat. Right now, I am thinking full flight +2+1 a-arms and works shocks.  Hell, even elka's non rezzie triple rates gotta be better than stockers. ($400) I know it can be done for under $1000. I don't know about you, but I have to pinch pennies, they are getting harder to come by. I won't ever be racing, so I don't care that it is the absolute best stuff. Just be less tippy, and soak up bumps better.  Good Luck post up what you figure out.

Just buy some YFZ front and it'll improve your front suspension. It's not the best out there, but it's better than your pogo stick... Then resale it after you find something, like elka's or the like. You won't lose much, if you keep them in good condition :)

ive heard alot of good things about the ishock kit... and alot of penny pinchers say the yfz shocks are a great improvement too. depends on how much you really want to get into. if you dont ride crazy hard im sure the ishock kit will do just fine, its supposedly a night and day difference from stock. i think krandall has it, you could ask him?

pj4553

I have plenty of riding experience and I really feel like the stock suspension is limiting me. I probably will go with a ishock kit but just say if I went with maybe Houser +2 arms and YFZ shocks, what else would I need to buy?

Going with the ishock kit is still pinching pennies in my book.  Good bang for the buck but if you really want a great set up I would go with motowoz.

That's crazy talk!

I have the ishock kit and I wouldn't look back. I can't justify spending upwards of 2k on suspesion.

I said its a good bang for the buck.  But for 600 more you can have a killer set up and be in a whole different league of suspension.

I think you need to ride an ishock kit first then judge :)

Just because it's cheaper doesn't mean its inferior :)
