why Hydrogen? (all I know is the hindenburg blew up  )

If they could use CO2 with a bi-product of Oxygen, it'd be a win win!

To be honest I don't have time to type up the full answer to this.  But I will when I get a chance.  Right now it leads the race to a new fuel system.  GM is using 400 cars in california and so is honda.  Ford is using hydrogen powered shuttle buses in florida.

There's a guy in Minn. First in the states to have his farm completely run by Methane. He works directly with the Univ of Minn on the project. His cow manure powers the whole place and he even sells excess energy back to the electric company here. He gave myself and a friend a tour. was WAY awesome.

Hmm, So hydrogen seems to be an obvious clear path. wtf is the hold up?

The Chrysler building just got sold to a Arab oil producing country. At least they won't try to blow that one up. Makes me sick

Oil companies have their hands into hydrogen.  They see the writing on the wall, they have been working on developing this technology for awhile.

They should have something in the next few years.  Right now they are doing the studies to find the best way to have this at gas stations since there will still need to be gas for quite a few years, since people will not be able to convert their older gas engines.  There is a guy out of sweden that is producing a unit that can make the fuel right at the gas station.
