the dyno was a factory pro ec997a it said mustang dyno on it also , it had 2 rollers.
anyway after 3 hrs of the guy giving me the thumbs up through the glass he comes out and hes like its all done i made a great map , im like ok so whats the hp #'s :D hes like well the best you got was 49.64 :mad:and 40.84 ft lbs of tourqe :(:(:( i was a little shocked to say the least he was talking bout correction bla bla bla but that was only 12% so whats that another 6 hp

:mad:so pissed right now

yikes. My shitty 4 mod 660 had those numbers
Was that a car dyno? I would say something is a miss but it seems like a strong build none the less.
You might have a traction problem. After my build I was actually slower but I switched from sand stars to haulers and it made a huge difference. I actually hook up instead of spinning now. Might be something to think about.
After I got mine put back together, I took it for a spin down my street and was pissed. I thought/said the same thing, "this doesn't feel like a 70+hp bike". I even posted it here somewhere. Anyhow I took it the dunes and that bitched screamed. It's scary as hell on the trails and insane at the dunes. Bottom line, takin it for a ride down the street is different then on the course. Can you imagine taking your car on the trails at 70mph even though it's super smooth on the highway at 70mph. Wait till you get it on the trails before you snap. I've dyno'd 58hp and 79hp with zero changes except the dyno's.
can you post the dyno sheet? did the hp/tq numbers cross at 5252 rpms, was it strapped down properly?
i' will post dyno sheets on tues mornin when i get back to work !
and to me it was strapped down properly !!
Don't look at the numbers. They are ONLY numbers. Each and EVERY dyno is different, some show WAAAAAY low and some show WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY high..
Who knows. If he dynoed the bike while stock it could have dynod w/ 20 HP. ;)
Bottom line. Get it out and ride that sucker. And see if you can FEEL the difference. A dyno is only tool to help get it tuned. the numbers are just extra icing.
lots of factors here....
How old is your clutch?

You could take that quad to trinity....theirs will show your bike around 752rwhp.

 did you get that +25 hp performance chip on ebay yet? DOn't forget to buy the airbox lid with holes pre-drilled too!
If you buy the chip on ebay, you MUST buy the 12 volt supercharger also. Those two mods and your bike is gonna be meaner than catshit and faster than an Ethiopian chicken!!!
Holy shit, there's still chickens in Ethiopia?
Yeah there's still a few. And believe me when I tell you they are the fastest land animal in the world. Cheetas don't have shit on them.

forgot about the electric blower.
Hey Peels, are you coming out to Colorado with Preddy, 4gunz, and Roy? You might get to glance the rare Coloradoan humping monkey
shhh, I told you to keep my camping exploits on the Down Low, What happens in Walden, stays in Walden, remember?
It's all good, we have the same rules when we camp with Preddy, what happens in Nebraska stays in Nebraska. Now Oklahoma is going to be an entirely different set of rules, lol.
Dont worry about the numbers, its the dyno.
There has been people on here that got like 49 HP on one dyno, then went to another and got like 67 with the same mods..

Seriously Peelz, what do you need to go?????
A Penis
Damn, well there's always next year.
asshats.
Did you ride her yet?
yea i rode it on saturday when i got home from the dyno , fast yes , faster than before yes , but not arm ripping fast as i expected !!
You need to get her out and see how it holds up against other raptors/quads. Like gunz said.... Once you SEE what it can do you'll be shocked. 8)
still haven't posted a dyno sheet yet.
He posted sheets over on the other two sites yesterday.
there's two other sites?

if you have them you can e-mail them to me and i'd be glad to post them.
thanks budd ! buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut
i dropped the bike off at a shop that has a dynojet this morning and the guy seemed like he knew what he was doing !!
actually i just got a call from him , the bike put down 61hp and 50tq :( better but still not where i want to be !!)
i'll get the dyno sheets from him in the am and then i'll email those one's to you !! !
he also said the map was way off ,and he created a new one for me !! im gonna go riding this weekend and then drop it back off to him on tues morn so he can
try and find the root cause for the low #'s !!

I'm betting you need to retard the cam timing which requires degreeing in the cam. But those numbers are WAY better, congrats bro, that's going to feel alot better if your tune was off by alot. Glad your numbers improved  Keep us posted.
When I got mine tuned I was told raptors like it lean on the bottom and fat on the top.
They make the best power on the dyno at 13.7:1 which is a tad lean. I've heard they make a little more torque down low being a little bit fat. 13.2:1 is what the dynojet tuning link shoots for all across the board which is a great air fuel ratio and makes good power, but a tad leaner will get you a little bit more

Flip that around and youl be right.
That's what I was sayin Bo, just a longer way around to the same point, lol.
aren't most guys running the 70 number with a build like that running street tires on the dyno? And also, what size tire are do you have on there for the dyno?

Depending on how stubborn the dyno is yes. Also, I think Troy might have identified something with degreeing the cam some.

Don't think I've seen dyno, on the internet at least, break 70 horsepower with an RJ cam.... Not talking shit at all, just haven't seen one. :)
Congrads on the newer numbers, you should be going for a refund on the first dyno if the map is totally off.... that's BS, you pay for a service it should be done.
I have a KDS build i gurantee will be in the 70s, hek i damn near got 70 with stock tires slipping, never tried changind ignition curves, and wasnt on the dyno but 30 minutes, so i am going back to dyno in a week or so and ill have new and improved dyno sheet because this time ill make sure i have the ingredients i need to show good numbers and to show that Kennys products are top notch...

Can't wait to see it  Wasn't really doggin on the RJ cam in general, I just haven't seen a 70hp build on one yet from "typical" raptor parts (+3tb, stock stroke, etc).... and theres so many other great drag race cams out. BUT, I'm sure it'll turn up.... can't wait to see how Colorado's build does :nana:
we'll see, this dyno is real stingy, and above 5K in altitude...but who knows. Whatever it does on the dyno, we'll test her out in the sand to compare as well.

He wasnt runnin the RJ but Cmat it 73 with a slipping clutch with the 5050 cam stock stroke/stock bore with 12:1 and +1 valved head so I know the RJ can break 70.

Looking at my dyno sheet it is the other way around
Daniel, isn't normal SAE smoothing 5 ( I see it on your dyno sheets)? What effects does this diffrence have in read outs?
SAE and STD here are within 1 hp//// they begin to differ with higher correction factors

And smoothing is for making the power curve line nicer looking, and "smoother"... instead of little spikes in the chart everywhere
Cool, I remembered reading way, way back on RF about SAE smoothing. Thanks for the info guys.

Aaron, you know the numbers I'm looking for just to start with and if we can hit them on Adams dyno it will be right in there
ok so the last #'s i got from the dunojet was 60 hp and 50 ft torque !!
i went riding yesterday and the bike feels a hell of alot better than it did with the other tune !! i was about 3 bike lenths ahead of the other raptors with big 3 pkgs !!
everyone still feels like its still way down on power , so tues mornin im dropping it off and theyre gonna do a tear down to check out the cam timing , we all feel like the cam timing is way off !!
so hopefully it is and that should be the problem !!
