I actually found my R1 to be alot easier to wheelie then the raptor. The raptor has a very small balance point area.....if you arent high enough you end up chasing the wheelie, and sooner or later it goes down b/c you are at the rev limiter...or it goes past the BP a little too quickly and the next thing you know your staring at the blue sky. I find it easier though to do stand up wheelies on the raptor eaiser then sit downs. The raptor comes up in 4th gear at like 50 mph too. It prolly heps though that i used to ride wheelies on a 1 liter bike at 90 mph

WOW, really. I had a hard time with wheelies on my r1. I can litterly ride a wheelie as long as I like on my raptor.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

yeah i found when i stood up n the R1, there was alot of room to work with the balance point, and there was enough engine that could put you back up to the balance point if it started to drop a little.

I find with the raptor, once it starts coming down, there isnt much more you can do to bring it back to the BP....but thats just me...i guess everyone is diffrent and has a diffrent comfort zone. I nver dropped my street bike, but managed to end up on the grab bar of my raptor more then once..go figure

My FZ1 is the same way, you can catch the wheelie by giving it more gas. Raptor is either up or down. Staring at the clouds or going back down.

I've rode the YFZ and the Rappy and would say the Rappy 700 is easier. I did ride a Suk 450 and that was a challenge to even get up.

Really...Cause there is no way possible that it is easier for me to get and stay in the sweet spot of the balance point on my gixxer verses the raptor.  ???  Cause I can slow my wheelies down on the raptor, I guess maybe since I have ended up sliding down the road on my ass at 80+ I never wanted to be at the sweet spot on the bike cause there isn't much room for error.

lol you would know now wouldn't you. those raptors don't like having their grab bars broke off.

i havn't personally road a YFZ but the ones up at silver lake were doing some impressive wheelies up test hill. and like all the others have said the raptor is a wheelie machine you just have to know how to handle it.
