It says to use your carbonite email account but really ANY email works. I just tried it and am currently backing up my music/photo's to the cloud! :)

It's good for 1 year and then after that, it's I believe 60 a y ear.

On my computer I've got 2 backups of all important data in case of hard drive failure. But the thing I worry about is.. if there was a fire... I'd lose everything. This is where cloud based storage is my friend. :)

Put those internal drives into an external enclosure and throw them in the fire proof safe after backup/sync....problem solved.

Krandall

I run daily every other day backups of my data... I don't want to go to the firesafe... pull it out. plug it in.. every other day. :/

My life isn't that eventful that I have new personal data four times a week, maybe after a vacation, special occasion, or every few months I have an actual reason to create a new backup.  Then again, I'm not imaging I'm just backing up personal data.

Krandall

I don't do full, I do incremental so I'm not rewriting data. If I waited every couple months though, there's a possibility to lose a lot of data. Just easier. It's all automated so I don't even have to think/worry about it.
