I find beer and boredom to be an excellent catalyst to post whoring.  Even more productive is to start a fight with someone or join in on someone else's battles.  Socal has picked up a few MC'ing such threads.

I have had success raising my post count with the following:

Talk to Colorado about chassis setup
Talk to Flynbyu about college football
Talk to raptorkid about cars
Talk to Socal about business
Talk to the mini post whores about being little kids
Talk to Krandall about quads...hard to believe I know
etc,etc,etc

However you rack up the posts just have fun with it, I know I have.

ANother is just post a picture of Liz Hurley in the off topic thread.... every time I have seen it it has resulted in 10+ pages in a single afternoon.

That's what I miss bout' the "good ol' days" on RF...

I could sign on @ 10:00PM.. Find Mad Dog BS about some racing set up or just life in general..... log off for a while. Sign on @ 2:00am whore with Phil and some other ho's. Get on @ 8:00am and start it all over.
