Always knew I would do something with electronics. But really, I wanted to work on cars or airplanes. Nearly joined the military to do the latter.

Initially....

Growing up, I wanted to be in the Air Force. Ultimate plan. Be a pilot fighter jets, and eventually a blue angel. High School, I talked to the recruiter, told him my thoughts/plans.. He looked at me, and said.. Well, strike one.. You can't have glasses.. (solvable problem) get corrective surgery. Problem 2... I'm color blind. *crap*
Growing up I always took interested in computers. My mom worked for the state and had a laptop in the mid 90's. She'd let me and my bro play on it. I was glued to the thing. High School, I worked for the school in the IT Dept doing all sorts of stuff, just came naturally to be a geek.

Problem 3, The Blue angels are NAVY!!!!

I wanted to be a sniper...strange for a little kid, I know...but that was my dream.  I used to practice on every bird in my neighborhood when I was a kid with my bb gun, nothing that moved was safe  Still somewhat regret not pursuing that dream.  I still really enjoy shooting, but don't get to go very often anymore.

I bet that Airforce recruiter loved him....Coke bottle glasses, 2 sizes too small "Super Mario 3" t-shirt, and wants to fly for the other branch of service.

"I hope I respawn near a tank"

Krandall

 I didn't know at the time. I put cool planes w/ the logical branch

Kind of a wierd fact.  Most of the Snipers I worked with in the USMC had never touched a gun prior to Boot Camp.  The best shots had no bad habits prior to the Marine Corp teaching them how to shoot.  Even guys with Marine Dad's, who were taught in the marine corp way were not as good as the guys who had never held a gun.

That makes sense.  I never had any training or coaching whatsoever, basically taught myself how to shoot with my BB gun as a kid...got decent over the years, but I'm sure I have a ton of bad habits that keep me from being a better marksman.
