In 09 I made the mistake of following Alkire too closely up a dune.  He slowed near the top then as the front tires rolled over the lip he punched it.  I took a sand tidal wave avalanche right in the face.    Thank goodness for my helmet and goggles.  As you say, nice exfoliation.

Hopefully RaptOut and I can make it out again this year. The last couple years have been awesome, I gotta feeling this year could get a little wild out there with all the banshees runnin around. Hopefully preddy has improved on his Sobe AKA 'yager' bombs though!!
