In my line of work, lenders ask us to collect POR or proof of residence for some applicants.

We just ask a customer to produce a utility bill, etc. that shows his mailing address on the piece of mail and this is sufficient for lenders.

We just asked a man for his POR, and he said "I've got something in my truck with my address on it."

He brings back a Registered Sex Offender Letter of himself the State of Oklahoma issued with his address on it.
