Just wondering, when do you guys decide to get a new chain?? I have an Rk for about a year now and its pretty good, hasnt stretched much. At least not enough to pull another link.

Ive had the sprokets (two renthals, steel front and alum. rear) for the same amount of time, and they are definitely ready to go. Also, anyone think there are and pro's vs. cons to going with a non oring chain? thanks

I got the 9600 lb non O-ring chain, and so far so good, but you will defiinitely stay on top of oiling it. I took it in the mud and it got a little stiff. Took a while to brush all the crap out.

if you're gonna do the sprockets.....replace the chain with em....they wear together.....and besides if that chain breaks it'll suck

IMO non o-ring chains are high maintenance & I wouldn't buy another for riding off road & in snow.  I had my stock chain for 2 years & replaced it for peace of mind.

I prefer the o ring chain myself...

What are your opinions on the Primary Drive H Racing Chain?  I ride sand 99% of the time.  Threw a master link last weekend and had a link I cut out when I cut the chain down that I used to get me by but of course threw it when I went to race.

I would do a rivet chain but don't feel like spending $80+ on a chain and then another $90 for the riveting tool  ::)  Not sure if you could get a 114-116 link continuous chain somewhere :dunno:
