My wife has been used and abused.  I leave for two years and come back to this  :(  It was only rode for a year. I would hate to have seen it if it had been rode for two years.

See if you see any differences

BEFORE: I threw on the lights right before I left so it would be safer.

AFTER I come home:

Right side looking at the front (original parts put has tons of chips in the lower a-arm now)

Left side (replaced parts that aren't even painted)

Love the electrical tape holding the light on the side that was crashed

Pits/chips in the paint all over the front

Definitely been rolled at least once if not more

Below the "Low" level for coolant.  Blow up the motor its okay because then I will stroke it!

Half way between full and empty (I know it is still in the "safe" zone but I never run a high comp/hp motor low on oil)

SO......I am going to strip her down to frame and subframe.  My plans are to powder coat frame, a-arms, handle bars, foot pegs, etc.

Know anyone in Colorado area that does powder coating and how much?

Don't let friends ride your ride

I'm sure Krandall meant karma for the person/people that abused and neglected your ride.

I bet Aaron knows some folks over there on the front range that can hook you up.  That is a shame, some people have no respect.  I'd be all sorts of pissed off if I were in your shoes.

If you want to go high-end on the rework, there's always JVR.  They're in Utah, but damn they do some nice work.

You have GOT to be kidding me :aaron: That's messed up man... Anyone stepping up to help you fix it after F'n your shit up ?

Yeah it is pretty messed up but what can you do....

Awesome Aaron thanks for the link.  I will try to get a hold of them sometime.  It will be a while before I get anything done to it.

I know it is cosmetic and it still runs (I think so anyway; haven't thrown the battery in and fired it up yet) but I've always been someone that takes good care of things especially when the machine cost $7k plus $$$ put into performance parts.

The problem is that I don't know who crashed it.  I could have sworn I asked the person I was letting ride it while I was gone to not let anyone else ride it but I could be wrong.  That person I loaned it to was upset when I finally had enough and asked them to no longer ride it because I was told by another source that it was not being taken care of.  Well sure enough because I looked back at past emails and things and it had been wrecked at least once around the time I was told that it wasn't being taken care of even though the person reassured me it was all okay.  Riiiight.

It is just water under the bridge and I forgive and forget.  There is nothing I can really do except move on.

It just makes me sad more than upset that someone who I knew so well wouldn't respect me after I worked out a deal to help them be happy and have a quad to ride since they didn't have their own.  I guess this is what I get for being a nice guy but I've learned my lesson, the hard way, and am moving on.

Some day I will get some pics of the progress.  The all black frame and new paint should look real good.

Any suggestions on what I should paint it?  No skulls and not real big into flames either.....

How about butterflies or some kitties? cause you're not into the manly stuff huh...

Troy

Aj there is a good powder coating place in Longmont on the frontage road on the west side of I25.  I can't remember the name but we used them all the time for powdercoating things at work and they were reasonably priced and did a nice job.  I'd say Kiel or my buddy James on the paint work.  James lives in Loveland so he's local.

LOL    Nah it's just because it seems like a lot of people have that on their quads.  Just looking for something different.

That is why I did this type of paint previously...

Awesome thanks Troy.  Are they up north near Hwy 66 or closer to Hwy 119 towards Frederick?  I'm okay with Kiel (Jared and him did an awesome job last time on it) or James...whichever.  Do you have a website for James?

If only shipping plastics didn't cost a freaking hundred bucks one way...not to mention my penchant for crashing will probably screw up a nice paint job  but that setup does look good
