Who else caught the premiere? Well I sorta slept through it but I did record it and watched it when I woke up at 5am...I don't think it's as good as the UK version but not horribly bad...Just doesn't have that same feel without Clarkson, Hammond, and May.

We watched it, not bad. And I agree it's not the same as the UK version. Give it some time, it has potential they just need to relax. Italian guy seems funny, every time he shifted during the drag race he was like F*ck!!!

+1  I too like the italian dude, but Rutledge wood, and Tanner Foust  

Rutledge is comedy relief on NASCAR shows (At best), and Foust is primarily known as a drifter.......

I guess if I would of been in charge of casting, I would have chosen people with a bit more depth.

Perhaps from the racing/journalism side, someone like a Dave Despain, or even Tommy Kendall (Former Trans am series champ).

I also think they are aiming at a younger generation too much with Foust (who is a very good driver no doubt), but The UK Top Gear is cast with 30-50 somethings, and has a broader scope of what is "Cool".

I agree. put Foust back in the car where he belongs and shut him up. The other shows I have seen him in are horrific.

Not going to waste my time watching this show.

I feel as if they have erred to far in favor of humor already.  The UK guys are funny for sure, but yet you do get a sense that they are qualified to give their opinions about the cars.
