Thanks :)

She's really had a tough time when I was out of town lately. Texts/phone calls all day seemed to keep her happy !

What a pile of unimaginative shit.

We, as a country, are obese because we put large volumes of unhealthy food into our bodies that far exceeds our body's required needs.  If you spend less money than you take in you get savings, which is good.  If you burn and expel less food than you take in you get fat, which is bad.  These two simple ideas seem to be known but ignored by the average American.

The premise of the article is that sitting, and more correctly sitting still, is bad because it doesn't burn as much of that food intake as you would if you were standing or took a walk.  WELL NO FUCKING SHIT....I'd burn more calories than standing at my computer than if I jogged on a treadmill in front of it too.  In fact, why don't we all quit work and just spend all day everyday at the gym?  Oh that's right, it's the 21st century and we no longer survive by hunting wildlife with spears and gathering berries from the woods.  I guess that means that we need to adjust our intake according to our needs instead of eating however much we want from the notoriously flawed food pyramid and then exercising 14 hours a day to burn it off.

Stupid journalism.

I find the article and more importantly the science to be counter-productive.  That does not mean I blame you for the quality of the content.  Your premise, that it was interesting, is correct.  I also found it interesting, but perhaps for different reasons than you.

LMFAO

picture randy saying this "wife style" while rolling his eyes...

MD. we are fat, because we don't need to work nearly as hard to survive. Our bodies (and most of our minds) are built to store fat for lean times. Hoard and binge, baby!

Only...we no longer have these lean times....per se. We have mild heart attacks if we skip breakfast LOL. Or, Pizza hut ran out of Pan crusts?! sweet lord whatever will I do! that's how we are wired.

I think as a species and society, we are realizing this, and the shift will happen. but it will take time. Unless something really bad happens and there are lean times coming. Meteors, Volcanos, or creeps with guns in the hills that love "merika" so much they'll destroy it trying to defend it LOL.....that sorta thing.

I didnt realize this...til Ive been doing this programming job for about 4-5 yrs now....I got fat quick. I have had active worj for many years....Took for granted my body handled its own biznass. Now gotta pay attention or imma be a fat old man.
