Overheating

I didnt know if anyone else had a similar problem. Ever since i put the big bore kit on the fan runs all the time and about 3 drag races the temp light comes on. Idk if i need a bigger radiator or bigger fan

Before you start throwing money at it I would check your fuel map/settings, too little fuel can make a motor run hot and even if it runs ok it can still be lean.

I was going to check my plug today but i know i need a pc3 because i have a DMC and i think the only map in it is for a filter and pipe and as far as i know you cant get in there and load a different map on the DMC controller.

I'd stop running it right now. Is the DMC controller a dobeck style? Dials on it?

The DMC is dobeck type, no maps but you can adjust the settings.

You can tune that DMC to give more fuel.

U can get the PC5 for that price too, u will have the advantage of put it the autotune add on, and all the PC3 map u can convert to PC5 with the PC5 software, but maybe u can get an used PC3 for a good price is up to u good luck

Yea, you should not be having any issues. I've had a well built motor for 3 years now and have never seen my over heat light. Even 1 gear putting all the way across Little Sahara with a injured buddy on the back in 90 degree weather.

Im trying to get it taken care of before we go back to little sahara in september. I just put a +6 swingarm on it this weekend and it wont hook up with haulers in the sand we have here but hopfully it will in oklahoma.

I got the pc3 put on and a richer map put in it but my radiator wont suck the coolant back in from the overflow. I already changed the radiator cap out but it didnt help. Any suggestions?
