Has any one tried, or would a Auto glass pack work on a Raptor 799R

I suggest you either modify the stock exhaust by putting on a new endcap or gutting the spark arrestor, or purchase a new exhaust.

I'd cut the stock baffle out of the exhaust, cut it in half length wise and make it a shortie, I've done a couple of those but never a glass pack.  Hell try it, you might like it   I'd say if you happen to be a redneck you will love it

$_it ya I'm a redneck LOL I have already taken the stock spark arrester out and I like the sound but was just wondering if a glass pack would sound louder?

Put the shortest glass pack on that you can find and it'll be loud as hell.  A Raptor 770 is basically a 350 chevy stroke and a 400 bore, so it's a single cylinder from a 377 stroker more or less.  As long as you're looking for noise instead of horsepower you're on the right track, otherwise, pony up some cash and buy a nice exhaust system

Thanks for the reply.  I guess I'll leave it the way it is due to back pressure issues.

Troy

Don't get me wrong, I don't think the glass pack is going to hurt you at all as far as back pressure goes, I'm just saying if you are looking for substantial gains on exhaust you could get a top tier system like Barker duals that have the head pipes, megaphones, and cans correctly sized for the application and you'd see much better gains.  I went from standard Barker duals to big bore Barkers and they look damn near the same but there is a HUGE horsepower difference between the two on the top end , and the standard Barkers were a huge increase over the gytr pipe I had on before that, which was a huge increase over the stock exhaust system

Yea I was'nt looking for any Horsepower gains at all just wanted louder muffler.  Probably a dumb idea anyway.  Thanks for the input very much appreciated.

Why would you want a loud exhaust. Unless your at a local drag race event, all its doing is hurting the immage of our sport. I've seen SEVERAL local riding areas shut down due to noise. Even if your local riding area is'nt noise sensitive your still hurting the sports immage in the long run.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

Unlike some of the 2 stroke and sand rails.

I support the "keep'n it quiet" philosophy but if all your looking for is noise, get a muffler shop to fit you up with a straight pipe. Forget trying to fab on a glass pack.

LOL I'm not looking for that loud of a noise was just wondering if the glass pack would work but I agree it would probably be way to loud.  I took thr spark arrester out and I like the sound too.
