OK I feel totaly humiliated by being listed as that other forum!!! I found the larger fuel tank thread over there 6 months ago. I did not even know there were raptor web sites at that time. From the other forum i found this one during the migration and have been here since the begining. I am sure the way things are over there I will not renew my RF VIP. So rich please relist me as this forum on the two tanks I want. Thank you, FR.

I like the gas cap, but does it breath like a stock one does?  And can you tip it up on end without it leaking?

Actually with the gas cap I have on it, it is ment more for racing and not much tipping.
I will explain - the gas cap has a nut inside that you tighten and it seals up the breathing gap.  So if you are just doing racing you leave it loose and if you plan on tipping it up you have to tighten it for right now.  We are actuall going to be installing a breather valve in the tank to compensate for this.

Sweet!  As long as there is a nut you can tighten if you need to tip it for any reason.  Thanks Rich.

Mostly I just think the gas cap looks sick.  That is half the reason I want the tank.

I made it on a riser also, so when the plastics are on it sticks up above for a good view. :grin_nod: 8)

Thats just how I would want it.   :grin_nod:

Now you just need it anodized blue or black so it can match my SE2 hood.

Anything wrong with using a statdard gas cap and neck to keep costs down? I would be all over this if I knew I could get it for under 400 all said and done.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

Thats worth the price alone.  That cap is hot!

But on a side note I wonder how the bigger tank and more weight would affect the balance and weight distribution of the quad.

I think like any bigger tank (IMS for the 660) you're going to get more top heavy, but the tank is pretty centralized on the 700 so I don't think airing it out would be to bad.
