Just picked up this little beauty today, it sure is a pretty little gun.  It was confirmed that it was the first and only one shipped to canada so far, kind of a cool feeling.

had this for a while now, been doing some practicing, and absolutely love it.  its all setup the way i like it, rip cord drop away, cheap 5 pin cobra sight, and a free flight release.  i have yet to find a quiver i really like.  its setup at 65lbs, and i can still up it to 70 lbs.

this is by far my best group at 30 yards, i had to take a pic for proof

Went shooting last week, kind of bummed I didn't take any pics. My bow is an older Mathews. But she gets the job done 8)

I have some pics I'll upload a bit later

Yes i am planning on hunting with it.  I got it for the sole purpose of an elk hunt i planned at the end of august.  I do plan on using it for white tail and mule deer as well this year, heck id be happy if i never have to pull out the rifle this hunting season

And thanks for the seeing my 1000 posts, i totally missed it......where has the time gone

And hefe i use to have a Hoyt as well, was a good bow, but i got a killer deal on this Mathews Helim through a buddy who is pro staff.

Cool, I'd suggest a back pack style quiver then. The bow mounted ones are just noise waiting to happen IME. Also, buy or make yourself a wrist strap. Itll allow you to relax your grip in awkward shooting positions.

the mathews quiver is actually quite quiet and light.  as for the strap, if i could find a nice one i would put it on, but it would be mostly for comfort, my hoyt i always use to shoot open hand, and ya a strap would have made me a bit more confident, but the mathews you cant shoot open hand or else the arrow flies a bit sideways (if you are shooting at paper it would tear sideways instead of a bulle thole)  i adapted by touching my forefinger to my thumb when i shoot in a loose grip.  what backpack quiver do you suggest?  broadheads dont like to get snagged

this is the quiver i have in mind, i just dont feel like spending 150$ on it :(

Don't even know it's there. Even with a climbing tree stand. But usually I had a drag stringer on my climber to pull it and the bow up after I got settled

Nice bow jeff. Hoyt has come along way since there " fast flight" epic fail during the 90a

I love the Viper.. but it is way outdated now :(
