My driving route

I35N out of OKC, I70W to Denver, I25N to Cheyenne, I80W to I84W to Ogden, I15 to St Anthony's.  1430miles 22hrs 30min drive time....

I'm staying at desert oasis rv park. Right now the plan is to leave Wednesday morning and arrive Thursday morning before 9am and stay till Monday morning. Right now my plan is to load the bike in the dodge and roll hard. Buuuuut Tonto and frog are planning on going so my plans may change and I might ride with them. Also Jstev and his brother are planning on going the Saturday before and staying the entire week, so I could end up riding with him. I'm still holding out on Troywcc to see if he;s going to be able to go too. Also the Missourri boys are going I think and I might hook up with them.... Just all depends. I am in 110%.. I think I will have a spot rsvp'd by the end of the week.

Heres a map of the area. DesertOasis is a good 6+ miles away from the mani campground. The big/fun dunes are on the far left side of the picture.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

Krandall: "peelz. I'll be real with you. As much as I hate on you for soccer, I really don't mind it"

Ok I called Hansen to see what they have going on and what they are wanting to offer us. No answer, but I left a message for him to get back to me.

Preddy, Colorado, Lady4fiddy, Tonto, Jstev, Gstev, Mo Raptor, Firemann, Frog, Krandall, Hefe, and all the other guys, do you fellas (and chick) want to set up camp at the place Preddy is talking about above? I know most of the other guys from ModdedRaptor are setting up at DesertOasis. I just assumed that we would all setup at the same place. I really don't care which place we setup camp, if the site that preddy is talking about really is that much better then DesertOasis, then I'm cool with that. I'd like to know the pro's and con's to whatever. It is crucial that I can scrub my ass daily in a fresh shower. Also, if I understand Jstev correctly he said that the camp Preddy is talking about is purdy nice. I'm ready to rsvp a site yesterday sooo lets get this figured out.

MO RAPTOR 700

I'm really open to either place. I like the fact that the Egin camp is kinda in the middle of the sand box, but others from the other site is staying at the other camp. Does this Egin camp site have the same amentities as Oasis does (gas, convenience store, shop, etc.) Like I said I'm open to either place and yes it is nice to be able to take a shower daily.

Egin Lakes is the BLM run campground.  There are no showers.  There are vault toilets and plenty of camp sites with electrical hookups.  There is an RV dump station and potable water fill.  There is a small store with snacks and a few spare parts.  But if one or two people coming have campers/toy haulers, the shower problem is solved.  Plus it is a much better location, that extra six miles equals less play time in the big stuff.  When we go, we always stay at Egin Lakes and we almost never turn right out of the access point (see map).

Soooo Russ, are you going and where are you staying?

:raptorrally:

If I'm able to go, I strongly prefer Egin Lakes, but it would also be cool to camp with everybody and party it up too.  So I'm torn.

Close Shawn, but no cigar,  that is Sandhills Resort, Oasis is not on that map,but its only about a mile away from Egin lakes campground.
If you look where Shawn labeled Egin Lakes, there is a rectangular white field,in the lower left corner you can see a small campground, that is Oasis, there is a dirt trail from there to the dunes thats about a 1/2 mi.long.
Want, need.........it's a fine line.
