My 1st Catch (Cat Fish)

It was rather small, maybe 10inchs max. Fishing off a dock on lake erie here in southern michigan. It was very exciting and i am going to get into the sport of fishing. I don't like eating fish so i threw the little bugger back in.

I like the taste of them if you cook them right, but I never keep the ones I catch. I am a catch and release kind of guy too. Fishing is a lot of fun, it is a great way to get out and forget about crap. Here is one of my catches of the year. Caught some a lot bigger and caught a ton of them a lot smaller haha

It depends on what time of year you catch them apparently.  Me and some guys went to Louisiana some years back to a killer buffet.  The catfish looked great but tasted like mud.  The cashier specifically asked how we like the catfish.  "Uh... it.. er.. tasted dirty."  He said he was afraid of that, at that time of year they tend to sit on the bottom and just don't taste good.

I can't fish to save my life.  I may as well just dump all my bait in the water and go to the store.  :lol:
