Ok, so the money is out the door, plan is set....now waiting on the parts to hit my door.


First.  Jake's 727 stroker bottom end with 12.5-1 Racer's Edge piston and fresh cylinder

Second. KDS Racing  +2 head with beehives and ferras

third.  RJ Cam, and +3 throttle body.

I dunno much about the raptors, but do you realy need a +2 head and +3tb with a 727? its only 40cc increase

No I don't, but I was planning on dynoing it.  I figure if I spent this much for the build, I should spend a few extra bucks to make her sing

Yes and no..... It's the combination that makes the difference. My +2 head and +3 TB give up no torque compared to my + 1 head with a +2 TB, but they have a bit more top end potential. This has 2 positive side effects..... one is a broader powerband and second is that he won't have to worry about the head needing to be re-ported if he goes bigger with his build. You will give up a little torque going with the FCI intake but it makes the powerband stretch flat all the way to 8,600 RPM(vs 8,300 for adapter types), where it starts to gently roll off to the redline. That will drop to about 8,000 RPM with the stroker. I find that the small loss of torque is fine with the RJ cam since everyone raises hell about traction problems anyway. As far as the RJ cam goes, it has turned out to be far stronger on the track than I expected, while maintaining excellent manners during casual riding.
