Post up some pic's if your into it.
Here's my crawler or my other addiction. It start as a Axial AX10 Scorpion but now the only thing stock are the axles and wheels. I have a DIG transmissions on the way. Then I will be able to lock out the rear wheels for tight turns and free wheel the rear wheels for the steep climbs. It's a lot of fun and it's crazy what they will do. I'm building my boy one now.

that's insane.
although it isn't a rock climber, my dad just got a traxxas electric car. Found it @ a thrift store and paid $3 for it.

We had to buy a new reciever / remote / battery. put $110 into it. thing is pretty sweet, does about 30mph and it's all wheel drive!

Thanks!
Krandall is it Traxxas Emax? I have one of the Traxxas Rustler VXL and it's crazy fast for a battery car. With a 11.1v 3s lipo battery and some gearing it will go 70+.

My boy has a Jeep RockCrawler. Not a real high quality one like yours, but pretty cool. Dual Motors. Eats batteries for breakfast though.  So we usually play with it in the snow.
Krandall: "peelz. I'll be real with you. As much as I hate on you for soccer, I really don't mind it"

I bought a Venom Creeper a while back.  It was almost a coin toss for me, Axial vs Venom.  Figured I would chance the Venom.  I stole the battery pack off another car but now I know why they suggest a small Lipo over a large stick pack.  The battery is mounted on top and that stick pack is heavy.  I'm stone stock right now but down the road is a small Lipo, I'll cut the foams and make some homebrew wheel weights.  $56 weights at Tower?!? ::)

I'll have to get some poser pics with it later.  Got a Tamiya 4wd buggy too, it doesn't flex at all.  I can get two Mini-DV cases under a back tire before a front lifts.  I got 11 CD cases under opposing tires on the Creeper, I might be able to get more.

What ESC you running?  I got the Tekin FXR with 45T motor.  I like it but then again I don't have experience with anything else.  I don't have a course, I have to build me one.

Did you buy loose cells and solder them yourself, or break a stick pack or what?  That's really clean, I like that.

Get you some stick on wheel wights from any tire shop. Then just wrap them around the inside of the wheel. You can get them for 5 or 10 bucks. I have the Tekin fxr also but with a 55T. I've been thinking about going with a lipo but there a lot of bad storys with them. They blow up if they are hit hard or not charged right! I roll my crawler a good bit and just don't want to see a fire on it.

You can get a good deal on packs at TCS.

TCS is where I get most of my parts.

I make my own packs now and get my cells and tabs at http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/?sid=1603360

Here are a few good places to deal with.
