Does anyone know the weight of the standard Alumininium rear rim the Raptor comes out with?
What is the disadvantages of a steel rim? I think the steel one weighs about 9.2Pounds.

Warren

i don't know what the exact weight is of a aluminum rim, but i know it's going to be about half of a steel one. and the disadvantage to a steel rim is that there is more rotating mass. if you are trying to shed off wieght for drag racing then i would say go with aluminum. but if not then i would say steel rims are fine.

hope this helps.

Thanks man. No dont do drag racing but I do offroad enduro racing.
You reckon its gona influence performance that much?

Warren

well for enduro race i would suggest a strong rim. something like hiper carbon fiber bead locks, or something similar. just because the shear beating that everything takes in enduro racing.
