One of my friends on Facebook lost her battle with cancer today.

She was only 25 years old.

Kind of strange, but we met playing Mafia Wars.....Imagine that. We called a truce from battle, and became friends. She commented on my photos, and talked about her photos. She told me up front she didn't have long, and if I ever sent her a message that she didn't respond to she would be gone. We talked about trips, our favorite places, and living in Japan.

Even though I never met her, I'm saddened by her departure at such a young age. Her mother died of cancer two years earlier.

She was a Stanford grad, spoke two two languages and worked as a liaison for US companies that did business in Japan, and had been living in Japan until she found out she was sick. She moved back to the states to undergo treatment. From what I've read about her, and from what her other 26 friends have posted about her, she was an incredible human being.

Sorry to hear B..

Isnt' it amazing how tied we can get to an electronic persona? I'd be crushed if I found out one of you fellas died. I mean, I hate you all, but in all seriousness. Sad. Especially at my age!!! Scary to know something like that at such a young age :( May her soul rest in peace, but at least she's in a better place :)

Yeah. I'd hate that shit....She was prepared, and was at peace when she died. Her sister did a lot of posting on her page, stuf Ellie wanted posted when she died. She posted a lot of quizzes, like you get in emails so you can see her sarcastic side, and her side she wanted to fulfill, like getting married and having children.

Tragic.
