Barker +4 vs Hot Rod +5

Can somebody tell me the difference between the hot rod and the barker crank except for the 1 mm difference cause there is a big difference on the prices.
Are they both direct drop ins or do i have to shim somewhere.

Before Barker made pipes or anything else, the Barker claim to fame was the Barker Bar, which is the basis for the rods that Barker builds for Stroker cranks.  It is a stronger better built piece for 700 and 660 owners out there.

Basically if money is not an option, the 4 mil barker is a much better product than the Hot Rod.  The +5 Hot Rod crank is a great economic way to stroke your bike.  Niether crank requires case mods or offset pistons.

The absolute best way to go is to have a balanced Barker crank, just depends on your budget.  I talk to customers all the time about this very topic and always recommend the Barker, but the Hot Rod is a good alternative if price is a serious variable.

I just puta +5mm hotrod in mine and the quality is very nice,and alot of guys are doing these right now with great results. However my hat is off to tim barker cause he makes top notch products. I just didnt enough money to play with to get his crank
