Doing stereo install- wheres my gurus at?

Ok, so I'm pretty good with stereo stuff, i've put in many systems for friends and myself, and right now I'm working on my womans car and I've came across a problem. I've posted on a nissan site also, but thought i'd check with you guys.

I think a relay fuse is blown. Head unit has been in for 4 weeks with power, now the head unit has no power and the horn wont' beep when you set the car alarm. Would both of these problems be linked the  relay fuse? I checked all fuses inside the car, and the only other fuse I can find are under the hood, shows 3 horn relays, 2 blue, 1 black, the 2 blue I swapped between eachother to test, and the black i can't do that with. Carquest can't get the fuses, said I'd have to check with a dealer or the net. Does this seem like maybe the problem? I didn't notice anything was wrong till I parked and went to set the alarm, and no beep, i had the radio on mute before that, so I didn't even notice if it was working.  It was earlier it the day.

Car- 2003 maxima , had stock bose-
Bose head unit and speakers replaced- New head unit, panasonic double din dvd, and front door speakers JL 6.5 componets and rear JL 5 1/4 .
Futrure plans, 1 JLW7-8 and JL 500/1 amp.

i would say check all your fuses again. and check the relays with a tester to make sure they are good. that sounds like a really weird deal i have never heard of that. try to check your wiring schimatics(sp) in your manual to see if you have missed any fuses or something in your search for them. sorry i could be of more help.

I'm a moron! lol, I didn't even see the fuse block on the right side of the battery, I must have overlooked it 10 times! , so found the fuse, GOT POWER!!< but i got a speaker wire backwords, the fader is backwords...i'll get right on that.  I'll post some pics later of the install. i'm pumped! i was worried it was something serious when I couldn't find anymore fuses. LOL

hopefully in the next month she'll be buying a JLw7-8 and box and jl amp. Then 1 more amp for the door speakers. Going to stick with all JL stuff. These door speakers sound great, can't wait to amp'em.

just get the W-6 its almost the same thing just doesnt need as much wattage!

I love the JL speaker line. Nothin' fancy, just down 'n dirty solid engineering. Except for the W-6/7 woofer line of course

Amen..... The whole series  has pretty good sound quality. The W-3's are a really good performer for the money. Has anyone checked these out yet?


It only requires .625 cu ft for the 12", and .8 cu ft for the 13"
