gonna go with 11:1 wiseco piston.... any opinions and possible downfalls to boring stock sleeveto 101...wanna keep it thick or going with an la sleeve 102 sleeve? it's basically a matter of $$$ vs relaibility

LOL I want to do the same but stay with stock bore.  Wife says not right now.   So I will keep reading up.   Good luck.  I would stick with small bore but that is just for the sake of maybe having to bore it later and or wanting to stroke it.
Gonna be stupid you better be tuff.

Got duals ?

ThisGuyAlex

i'm a small dude....60hp will be more than enough for me....no strokers here

You got me wondering if 60 is possible without stroking.   and without spray.

You talking at motor or tires?

at the tires....and it doesn't take much to get to 60hp

this is a fairly large displacement motor as is.....letting it breathe and complimenting it with a little cam here...a little bore and hi-comp piston there.....alittle porting and bigger valves sprinkled in.....bake it 4 a bit....60 hp

I have one in my 350, and it made a big differance for the better, but 660 im sure is completey differant..

ThisGuyAlex

yeah....a 660 stock makes more power than a 350 with the piston.....

yeah 101 only adds a few thousand pounds of centrifical force at the end of the rod...
BTW Just how much power do you think you gain in that 1mm bore?

not really any....it was just to give the cylinder a fresh round untapered and honed finish...

The 1mm isn't going to make much of a difference in cooling or reliability.  But a 101mm sleeve can be bored again, a 102mm sleeve has to be replaced if it gets too marred up or out of round.  The aftermarket 102mm sleeve isn't any thicker than the OEM sleeve bored to the same size so there's nothing to be gained there.

A piston alone won't get Alex to 60hp but I'm guessing he has more planned.  Small bores can break 60hp on pump gas, 105+ big bores can break 70 with stock stroke on race gas.
