Anyone know where to get a "spiral lock" tool? (for wrist pin installation)

Alright so I didnt make it very far on putting my build back together tonight.

Apparently Diamond pistons use a "spiral lock" clip to hold in the Wrist pin in the piston. This is opposed to the standard "C" clip's (the kind you can just get one end started and pop in or out with some needle nose and/or a flat blad screw driver.

These darn "spiral locks" are literally a spiral and are like 540* of spiral. Originally I was thinking it would give and i could just compress it with pliers/my fingers and pop it in. How wrong I was! I spent an hour (with two buddies) trying to make it work.

Finally I look it up online and find out there is a special "spiral lock tool" for messing with these little goobers.

These tools say they help "remove spiral locks" so does that mean they assist in installing them?

Or is there some simple trick I have not figured out to get this darn thing installed? I would hate to have to order the tool and wait 3-5+ days just to install a damn clip!!!

Any help is greatly appreciated!

For those who have no idea what im describing, this page has a write up on a piston install utilizing a spiral lock and a spiral lock tool.

How bad of an idea is it to stick a regular old piston clip in there? I hate to re-use the stock one as I know that is not generally kosher to do. What if I can find some locally? I am about to give up on these damn spiral locks. I want to finish my build!

Ok I think I figured it out (been googling since I posted).

Looks like apparently you are SUPPOSED to stretch the spiral out, so you can get one end started and work it in. I was worried about stretching it out of shape but I guess thats the name of the game!
