I just purchased my 686 last week from a friend for $1000, and got used plastic for $100... she needs a little work but for that price I'm happy with it lol. 

My 400ex with a 440 kit I got for $1100 and since only put plastic and a rear brake $125 and a starter clutch (one way bearing) $250

  I might be winning for least invested eh?

I've been a mad wheelin and dealin lately... I bought a 99 CR250 that was cherry, she'd start first kick and was in great shape, I got it for $350!!! Stuck stickers on it, cleaned it up and ended up selling it for $700 and a 97 Dodge Neon

if you look at the difference between the yfz's vs. the ktm quads, thats how it is when it comes to yamaha bikes vs. ktms
