We have not had a real measurable rain since last summer! We are a spark away from a country side fire.

Really?

Damn, that's scary.

It's been a week or so since we had any rain.

Thunderstorm you ask?

A thunderstorm, also known as an electrical storm or a lightning storm, is a form of weather characterized by the presence of lightning and its effect: thunder

Here, it's usually a super cell meso-cyclone with 40,000 foot tops producing huge hail stones, high winds, and tornados!

The only bad part about spring here.....err.....winter.....err....summer......well, all the seasons really, but more in the spring than anything.

I do remember a storm about 2 weeks ago. Not even enough rain to wet the entire ground, but it did drop golf ball sized hail for about 2 minutes.  :(

Last year we had a hail storm that produced baseball size hail with 100 mph winds. downtown Fort Smith was nothing but glass. Thousands of cars were totalled.

Brings back bad memories of when I drove my truck into a hail storm with softball sized hail.  :(  The insure fixed the truck and it cost 5K about 8 years ago. I can remember looking in the rear view mirror at the passengers in the back seat and then a huge piece of hail hit right next to my mirror in the windshield and blew little pieces of glass all over us. Scary!

There was hail that was blown through the sides of mobile homes here.

It looked like a war zone in the affected area.

A few years back I was driving around after a mini hailstorm.  The hail was maybe the size of a piece of corn but there was just millions of the little things on the sides of the road. It looked like foam everywhere. I got pelted by a few pieces.  I don't think anything was actually damaged by it.

Now a buddy of mine is an adjuster and he has seen some stuff. For instance, a car driven by a short woman with "hail damage" everywhere she could reach.  LOL.

Man, typing this on my phone and it takes forever. Peck, peck, peck.

i saw, baseball size once just before a tornado...it put inlongated dents in the sides of vehicles, broke windshields, busted shingles off roofs, and pretty much dented anything in its path...
