Pantera - "Cemetery Gates"

This song/band can be thanked for the way dark metal sounds today. All of them try but fail. Nobody will ever be as good as these guys. Screaming random religious themed lyrics into the mic does not make your band cool. All of them sound alike now, and, It is getting old...

Faith No More----"Out of Nowhere"..now, "war pigz" the cover.

Forgot how awesome this band was. Get the album "the real thing" Classic. Check out the tune "surprise, you're dead!" Killer Death Metal song. Great riff, great lyrics, almost impossible to play on guitar for me

sorry for the rant, just meant to say rockon, and post my song. I Love off topic.

It's your opinion. Granted Pantera Rocks. I hear people all the time say "If not for..... xxxxx, rock and roll, wouldn't be what it is today" blah blah blah. It all comes down to a personal taste. Pantera rocked some sweet guitar riffs and had some good lyrics, but just because one band was good, doesn't make them the savior of the genre

In Flames - "Black & White"

yes it does. :bird:

Yeah it is personal opinion. But they were the first good band to do this type of music.

All I am saying by this is I don't care for the current crop of goth type death dark metal. Screaming unintelligible contrived religious quotes gets old. And their voices arre monotonous as well. Pantera was able to make it violent, and melodic at the same time. With well written lyrics you could understand.

Besides, you were still in elementary school when Pantera came out.  :P :lol:There are plenty of good bands out there. I am just getting too old to appreciate them. Slipknot does it pretty well.

Krandall: "peelz. I'll be real with you. As much as I hate on you for soccer, I really don't mind it"

nothing, it's actually almost quiet for once.
America is a noisy place, I miss the peace, quiet & tranquility of home.
Time to escape this place, even if only for a while
