Is this an OK one?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=170298298978
all I want it for is to store MP3s and pictures and not worry about me loosing them or deleting them.

I would go to NewEgg.com and get one from there. their support is top notch.. Not sure how returns would go for something over e-bay.

any particular one you would recomend?

I'm a fan of Seagate drives.. your best bet is to go by the user reviews on new eggs site. There's tons of options out there!

Yea, but opinions are like assholes though

Make sure to go off of a bunch of review and not just a few. I've seen some ridiculous
reviews.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

Which is odd considering their Barracuda 7200.11 drives are more useful as bricks and paper weights than hard disk drives.

Krandall

Meh.. Each company has had their low point.. Western Digital sure has!

Fine, did you buy WD during that period?  Probably not, so maybe you shouldn't be suggesting people buy Seagate while their drives suck.

Didn't they fix the issues of the 7200.11 was a firmware update I believe.... I've owned seagate, western digital, and now a samsung (first time.. in my external enclosure)

I've had one drive failure in my day..... It was a seagate.. but not of the 7200.11 family..

To the best of my knowledge, this hasn't been fully resolved either.
