it is fixable. I don't think your builder would have seen this happening. The valve guide probably broke when the valves got bent after the intake broke.

The cylinder and head came in today, its burgered up pretty good lol.

The cylinder head is tore down. Looks like the intake valve broke right at the notch for were the locks go for the retainer.

yamaha had a problem with the 5valve engines doing that in the mid 90s

so the old beast finally runs again!!!
we ended up needing a new head and cylinder,  everything else checked out fine tho.
we do need a map if anyone can shoot one over to me for the time. we are taking it to the dyno after a bit of beak in time.
mods are:
+5 crank
105mm cp 10.75:1
webcam 40c/932
ported head
pro design intake
barker duals
pc3
