Yes it is a bung hole , and it should be 12-16" from the engine head to overcome the single cylinder reversion effects.
installation should be angeled correctly to prolong the sensor service life.

here is my raptor drag pipe with a bung welded to it.

What's Single Cylinder Reversion ?

Only heard this term when referring to turbos:

negative pressure pulse (vacuum) in the turbo manifold that is drawn back into the combustion cylinder(reversion).     ???

What's Single Cylinder Reversion ?

Due to intake/exhaust overlap, and during intake stroke, the piston will suck some fresh air throught the muffler tip, which will mislead the sensor readings. So O2 sensor must be installed as close as possible to the engine, but not less than 12" due to exhaust gas temps.

IN SIMPLE WORDS, exhaust gas pulses are a good evidence of reversion.

Ok gotcha!  Thanks for the explanation.

so its def a smart idea to go with the pcV if someone were going to get a big 3(smaller, around same price, and has many more options if u want them down the road)?? pretty much for the same reason for goin with barkers > everything else (always leve yourself room to breath later)

u can get the auto tune kit later and install it later, after u have already purchaced the pcV?

TechQuadShop

Autotune kits should be in tomorrow.

Do you know what the main difference is between the PCv and the PCIII as far as connections?

Does the 5 just have extra for the LCD display on the 09's? ???

Not sure if I missed it but what's the status for retrofitting the PC5/Autotuner to the earlier 700s?
