Here's one of the dyno runs off of my "660" It'll get your blood flowing!

Love it. Who did your build/engine work by the way ?

here's a pic I thought was cool. old vs. new. Met up with some hillbilly good ole' boys with some killer land to ride. 120 acres of creekside property.

That banshee there hauls ass. I used to beat hime in short drags, not anymore. Oh, I have the wheelieing down to a science now. i got over the clutch grabbing instinct at 12 o'clock  :grin_nod: No more busted grabbars and roadrash.

still need more 660 guys to post up on raptorsource.
Why is it the only guys having problems have a 700? We have problems too.

I'm still a 660 guy too.

One of these days I'll upgrade. I'll keep this bike to build on.

Funny thing is that you never hear a punched 660 referred to as a 700, it's still a good 'ol 686

 Yamaha would be hard pressed to market the new "raptor 686" with fuel injection.   just call it a 700 and people will buy it. ;)

I think it's about time they step up and put out an 800 FI unit  :grin_nod:  I'm not gonna get into the 700 yet, I'll wait for the next big bore from yami.  I can smoke most anything around here without much of an effort but we are pretty limited around here for sport quads.

utility guys were sayin I'd never make it. Haha.  I was following him around for 5 minutes. Now, getting out of the creek- a whole different story.

Sorry guys I have been in the mountains for the last week. To answer a few questions it was built by CG Performance in Jefferson Oregon. Chuck did my 686 also and IMHO his headporting is some of the best out there. Not taking anything away from the big names but I have taken down my fairshare of 720's+ on my 686. The Dyno was the third or fourth pull and was still very rich, we were trying to get a decent tune on it so we could make minor adjustments at the track. It is a 812cc methanol bike. It has a Barker +8 crank, somewhere north of 14.5:1 compression, Megacycle X14 cam, The head is severly reworked with larger valves, custom intake with dual 38mm Lectrons. 1-4 override tranny, Barker lockup, 106mm bore with o-ring, no 5th gear and no reverse, Barker dragpipes with Looney cans so it is dune legal in Oregon. It made a few more HP by the time we got the a/f close. After we get some track time on it we will re-run it to see how much it loosened up. I can tell you with 100% certainty that a +6 swinger is nowhere near long enough to control it. I have a +12 being built for it now and we will see how it runs. It ran 52mph up the hill at the Rally in April and was one of the fastest bikes there but it won zero races due to the short swinger. Hopefully this answered some of the questions 8)

Wow makes my stock 660 with barkers seem weak at 43 rwhp.   LOL      Wait till I get my new tires and stickers we will see who needs longer swinger....  :grin_nod:

guess I need more than just a 11:1 and P&P and stage 2 to put the hurt on you.   LOL
Gonna be stupid you better be tuff.

Got duals ?

You could out run it in a footrace now as the ass end is sitting on a 4X6 block :help: :'( The winger will be here next week though so its all good :grin_nod:

ha ha !!! your ass is mine!            one bad 660 is what I am riding.

Well it would be nice to see your quad run.   But I dont have eyes in the back of my head....

Seriously though, your bike has to be pretty quick with that much power.   Cant wait to see what the gain is on the hill after the longer swinger.
