FoundArealQuad

As you guys know I had my Polarass stolen last Friday night and have been pretty bummed out ever since. I've been looking at quads everyday since it happened and really have been weighing the pros and cons of every machine I've been looking at. The three machine I have been looking at were a Polarass 525S, KTM 525 XC and Raptor 700 SE. The pros of the Polarass are the KTM motor hydraulic clutch and I already had the service manual and enough oil to do about three oil changes. The cons were that I had to replace a lot of parts on my other Outlaw that should have never worn out as fast as they did, stupid air filter set up, the motor is a little to high maintenance. The KTM 525 XC pros strong motor top of the line shocks chromoly steal frame and aluminum sub frame and not much else to do to it right of the floor. Cons no close dealers, aftermarket parts are way expensive, high maintenance motor, oil and filters are expensive and the ride is a little harsh. Raptor 700SE pros low maintenance motor, decent shocks, unlimited motor potential, unlimited aftermarket parts, super reliable motor and fuel injection system, like the Swiss Army knife of the Sport ATV world. Cons horrible stock tires, like the Swiss Army Knife everyone has one.

After all the research and pros and cons I ended up buying a 2008 Raptor 700SE today and I'll pick it up tomorrow.

Way to go.  Its about time someone steps up to show peels how to do it.  We just have to wait for his balls to drop so he can follow your example.

I know the rappy will put a ass wooping on it but it would be fun to have. I love the orange and look.

I like that KTM got into quads, the more competition the better IMO.  But, they advertised like this quad was gonna eat anything on four wheels, so when I see someone bragging about there KTM, I always comeback after the race and ask him how his "Race Ready" quad was running

I got it for $6300 OTD I don't think it was a bad deal.

The Stock XC version of the 525 is waaaaaay more race ready than a stock 06' raptor. I watched some of the A class riders last year put a whooping on a lot of other people. I think it's a misconseption that it's the best. Rider Experience also is a huge factor.

It's a great weapon in the right hands, but a C class rider should not think that now he has a KTM he will become a A class rider.
