To rebuild my rear elka for +2 swinger, or not?

I think im going to get a +2 swinger so that the front end is a bit easier to control. I still want to be able to do some wheelies (hence not going to +4). Turning radius sucks as it is, so I think +2 is the way to go.

For those with +2 (or +3/+4) did you rebuild your shock? I have a rear elka built for 200-220. I am 225 and am hoping I can get away with not having to rebuild it. I know elka's dont adjust that much but hopefully it will work?

I would rebuild it for sure. It would be like addign +2 arms with stock shocks.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

thats true..never considered it that way.

I guess I will throw it all together and see how it feels. I am sure I will have to add some preload so its riding around with like 90% sag..lol. If I cant adjust the compression to within a reasonable range I will have it rebuilt.

I would for sure.  I have a +2 and I can tell a big difference after I had my shock rebuilt.  Call josh at wiggstyle racing, he'll take care of you.

How do you like your +2 erich? Notice enough difference over stock, but still good on the trails? I still want to be able to have pretty good controlled wheelies, but want enough swinger to help hold the front for launches.

What did rebuilding the rear with Wigg run you? Was it just a revalve or respring too?

I had my rear rebuilt for my +2 swingarm and loved it. I noticed it was a little harder to bring the front end up, but still was NO PROBLEM!!! Any gear, lean back, blip the gas and it'll come right up. The wheelie point was AWSOME!!!!!!!!! I could ride wheelies much longer with the +2.

You best bet would be to call up Josh Wiig and talk to him about your needs. He'll shoot you in the right dirrection. Mention you on the forums and he might cut you a little deal. Dont quote me on that, but pretty sure he still does that.
