I think Im going to make the purchase of a direct drive lock up clutch. I was told it would be a good idea for my build. Especially since I plan to do more in the future. Who has these and what kind of luck have you had. I do 60 dunes 40 trails and I hope this wont affect my trail riding. I dont mind the harder shifting I just don't want to lose massive reliability!

if you are slipping your clutch so often, then it would be a YEA

I also heard about slingshot clutch lockup, they are kinda stealthy, but I don't know much tech details about them

I have a slingshot.
It is a nice lockup.
It installs under the stock cover and doesn't push your foot out..

The 700 is a drop in now no machining.
You basically remove 1 clutch and plate and install this instead of the pressure plate.
I am running stock clutches with tusk HD spring.
Easy to install and it does not extend the cases out and have a window that has been known to leak

AIR did it make a noticable difference in performance?

you will not notice a performance gain per say but you will not have any clutch slippage.

Both lockups  are great I just feel that the slingshot is more for the everyday rider.

i was thinking i would notice a slight difference if i could get all the power to the wheels. cause my clutch has been slipping some,so figured im losing power to the ground

do the stock clutch plates and fibers hold up good for higher HP quads.Im assuming yours is modded pretty good to need a lockup :grin_nod:

I am only pushing 60 HP on KBR's dyno but I still had a burnt clutch so I put one in.

That dyno has got to be wrong. For sure.
