A friend of mine is looking at an 2002 Raptor 660 with only 100  miles on it.    Asking price is $2000
Has not been ridden lately and probably needs the carb cleaned.

What's it worth assuming its in immaculate shape?

What should my friend know about the 02's?
Were there any issues with those years?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks for your time

02 has no real probs.  Carb boots slip off head? That was an 01 problem I think. Trans prob was fixed by 02. Price sounds about right.  Great shape: mid 2's  Just be sure jetting was done right if there are intake exhaust mods, we don't have any nifty efi controllers  He will be happy with the quad.

Thanks Peels. I was wondering about the trans issues....
Jim is an older guy but not new to riding off road, I think he'll be very  happy with this 660 if he buys it.

Peels hits the nail on the head.

No issues from my understanding. About the only thing I've heard is the one way going out from time to time, but that's an easy fix.
